'A Holly Jolly Christmas' part three - Burl Ives

Santa got to thinking that maybe he should shake things up a bit this year, since it was just the three kids at home, who thought they knew everything. So the kids woke up to a house covered in string spider-webs. Santa left each child a different color of string to follow to find the gift he left for them....needless to say the kids were surprised and intrigued. Their hunt took them all over the house and quite a bit of time. It helped drag out the fun a little longer and they seemed to really enjoy it. Benji finally found his gift in the laundry room, Parker's was under the end table in the living room, and Sarah's was under the big chair. Who knows, maybe they'll ask the elves to do it again next year!

The highlight of our day though, was talking to both of our missionaries. They voices were both full of the missionary spirit and it was such a boost to hear. Taylor could only talk for a few minutes from the Guatemala MTC, but he sounded happy and wasn't missing us too much yet. Spencer sounded older, more mature, and almost panicked that he has a little less than a year left. I'm grateful for such a wonderful day.
